Elizabeth (Liz) LaCroix received a BMus degree in Piano
Performance from Wayne State University and a MMus in Collaborative Piano
Performance from Boston University.
She has performed and taught in Detroit; Windsor, Canada; Boston; and
Chicago. Liz currently teaches
private piano lessons and is a certified Music Together teacher, conducting classes throughout Chicago. Her teaching style focuses on technique, reading, theory,
ear training, musicianship and performance practice. She welcomes students of all ages, and desires to pass along
to her students a deep appreciation of all styles.
Liz enjoys working as an accompanist with singers, chamber
groups, musical theater productions, and for church services.
Liz loves languages, and has studied German in Vienna,
Austria, French in Québec, as well as at the Sorbonne and the Alliance
Française in Paris, and has also lived in the Netherlands. Currently, Liz enjoys blogging about
motherhood at SuLaLi and has written for the Chicago Moms Blog and Dupage Mamas. She practices yoga and is an amateur knitter and gardener.
